The Golfer's Body
Head and Cervical Spine Rotation
Having good neck rotation is crucial for golfers, as it encourages proper use and rotation of the whole spine, allowing for good upper torso turn against the pelvis.
This also helps to control posture and encourage stable head movements in the swing (avoiding swing faults such as head lift, etc.), as well as assisting the stability of the shoulder blades. This is very important as they help create connection and compression between arm and torso, which translates into achieving maximal hand speed and ball compression on impact.
