The Golfer's Body

Tricep Exercise

Triceps

The triceps brachii muscle (Latin for "three-headed arm muscle") is the large muscle on the back of the upper limb of many vertebrates. It is the muscle principally responsible for extension of the elbow joint (straightening of the arm). This is important in golf, as it aids extension and width in the swing as well as helping connection between arms and torso. Additionally it helps with creating maximum compression on impact between club and ball.

The above video is an example of an exercise drill which, when undertaken as part of a tailored golf conditioning programme, can improve strength and movement to achieve a better body for golf.
